Currently Australia is facing a huge crisis with over 32,400 square miles engulfed in fire. It is estimated that 24 people have died, 1,000 houses have been burnt, and over a half a BILLION animals have died. Please consider donating with the link below. Any little bit helps to resolve this awful problem.

Why should we be worried about climate change?
You’ve probably seen it all over the news more and more recently. Australia is on fire, California is bone dry, there are floods and crazy storms everywhere, and the world is heating up! Climate change is real, it’s happening, and if we don’t reverse it in 6 years, the results would be terrifying!
The World Health Organization (WHO) says 8 million people could die every single year after 2030 if we don’t reverse this. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), climate change, caused by rising amounts of gases like CO2 in the atmosphere, can also cause injuries and illnesses such as skin cancer and Cataracts. The destruction caused by climate change would also have a yearly impact of billions and billions of dollars!
In the past, damages done to the ozone layer due to climate change have been improved upon. In 2013, teams of scientists worked together to help seal a hole in the ozone layer above the North Pole. But, we don’t always need a whole team of scientists to make improvements. There are many little things we can do to help, like reducing food waste, for instance, since “the food we waste contributes 4.4 gigatons of CO2-equivalent into the atmosphere each year—roughly eight percent of total anthropogenic greenhouse-gas emissions”.
There are many ways big or small that we can help improve the Earth we live on. It’s important to keep in mind that we’re now facing the biggest instance of climate change in human history, and we all need to pitch in to steer clear from the point of no return, or else the world our children will grow up in will be a very different place from our own!
